I did some experimenting with macro using a magnifying glass on the weekend. Some worked, some didn't. I think I'm going to invest in some close up filters - will make life much easier!

Reflection
This is another photo of the Torrens/Convention centre. I like the reflection but am still not entirely happy with the photo. I used a blue toner post-development to give it a bit of "something" but I'm still not sure about it.

south road by night
I took this photo a few weeks ago. It was night time and raining and I had to stand in the middle of the road on an island and get Terry to hold the umbrella over my camera! It was definitely worth the effort though, I love this photo! I love how the lights look like stars, I love the stillness of the sign and I love the lines of light from the headlights of cars driving past.

This gorgeous little old couple were sitting down at the Bay eating ice cream and I couldn't resist getting a photo of them! I think the lady was a bit hard of hearing as she didn't hear me ask to take a photo and her husband had to explain it to her.

I saw this lady sitting down at the Bay knitting and thought it was quite interesting but being the shy person I am, I couldn't work up the courage to ask if I could take her photo. I went off and took photo's of other things and told myself that if she was still ther when I got back, I had to ask her. And there she was! I didn't get her name but she told me she was knitting a sock and had dropped a stitch so was going backwards to correct it. She told me her sister lives in Tasmania and keeps sending her wool so she just keeps knitting socks! =)

It's official - I'm lazy!
You are late-sleepy relaxation, the half-awake moment when you realize it's morning, but you don't have to get up, because there's no place you have to be. You are that cozy spot under the covers where everything feels temporarily perfect, even if you know you'll eventually have to wiggle out and start the day. Maybe you're the artistic type, who doesn't function well on a normal schedule. Sleep's important to you, and you like the freedom of sleeping as late as you want (especially since that is closely related to the freedom to stay up as late as you want). You like to roll out of bed, put on some comfy clothes, and get a laid back start to the day. If not everything on your list gets accomplished, no worries. Your only priority is having no priorities – you just want to take things at a slow, mellow pace.

My hens weekend was probably the funnest weekend I've ever had! We had an absolute blast! I think the photo's say it all! :)
